There are 23 of us leaving bright and early in the morning for Holton, IN.
This is our 2nd trip. This time we are building homes.
Holton took a direct hit from tornadoes on March 2nd of this year and it would be a great blessing for each of us to be able to bring a family truly "home for the holidays" -- or atleast get them closer.
This team of 23 is quite the "hodge podge" of folks. Some are from Indiana University, some are from Bedford, some are from our own church, some are from our local COAD and some are from the local Red Cross. I am so excited to have this many people who are willing to take a day from their busy holiday schedules to be a blessing to others.
I hope all of you will cover all of us with prayers as we go out to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Be sure and stay tuned for pictures -- which will most likely be posted sometime on Sunday.
Until next time . . . tis the season . . . to help others! Susan and Monty
"We are doers of the Word of God and are blessed in our deeds. We are happy in those things which we do because we are doers of the Word of God." James 1:22
About Me
- Susan and Monty Scales
- We've spent years helping families rebuild their lives and homes after natural disasters. Those adventures have taken us to Mississippi, Louisiana, Indiana and Texas. God is now teaching me there are numerous definitions of "disaster." This new adventure of driving a school bus is taking me into a whole new world of "rebuilding." Stay tuned and see the hand of God in action! Jesus really does "love the little children; red, yellow, black and white . . ."
